Continued Restriction on HIIT Training
- A reminder that 'high intensity' conditioning work of any sort is still banned inside of Raincity Athletics
- Light conditioning work may be completed
- Please remember the goal is to avoid excessive heavy breathing while in a shared space
- If you're unsure what constitutes heavy breathing, then we request you don't begin until you've talked to a coach about your plan
Strength & Conditioning Classes Added to the Provincial Group Class Ban
"Venues that organize or operate other types of indoor group physical activities must suspend them temporarily while new guidance is being developed. These include: Gymnastics, Yoga, Strength and Conditioning, Dance studios, Pilates, Cheerleading, Martial arts
Venues must use the new guidance to update and re-post their COVID-19 Safety Plan before resuming operations. "

- [FF] Olympic Lifting Classes will remain on hold
Approval For Gyms and Recreation Facilities
Gyms and recreation facilities Gyms and recreation facilities that offer individual workouts and personal training sessions can remain open as long as they have a COVID-19 Safety Plan that is strictly followed.
Since Raincity Athletics is such a large facility with a multitude of offerings beyond just group classes, we will shift our group classes to following the same protocols as our existing [SPRT] Access options and protocols.
- We will return to offering [FF] Individual Access blocks
- These blocks will follow the same basic protocols as our existing [SPRT] Access blocks which can be found here: www.rncty.ca/covid-access
Temporary Schedule Updates
- 50 Minute [FF] Individual Access sessions
- These are accessible to active [FF] Memberships only
- There will be NO drop-ins allowed from non Raincity members / regular
- We will continue to make the [FF] Strength Cycle available via SugarWOD
- It has been updated to include recommended timelines to ensure you complete all the work in the designated 50 minute window
- [FF] Individual Access attendance limits
- There will be 5 people per scheduled block
- Block start times will be spread out by :30 minutes
- On entry, a coach will assign you a space based on your start time / color (BLUE or GREEN)
- Boxes alternate with a blue or green x in them - you must utilize the appropriate color based on your scheduled session
- This will ensure no 2 athletes are completing the same workout side by side
- You are not required to do [FF] Programmed workouts during individual access
- Your workout must still abide by the HIIT ban rules
